Just bought a reseller account with prontohost

Internet October 21st, 2007

I bought a reseller account with http://www.prontohost.net. For $7 and some change per month for 20GB/200GB, it is not bad. In fact, it is a promotional offer and that is why it is so cheap. I will see how this all goes and write a long review of ProntoHost later on.

I am off with the VPS idea. I will cancel the VPS the next month. I am sick of spending too much time on tweaking it. It is only making me less productive. Finally, I am again back to the world of WHM/cPanel. How much I love this superb combination! :)

Press Releases: An easy way to get backlinks

Link Development October 20th, 2007

Writing press releases is an 100% ethical way of getting backlinks. It is not rocket science, and it is not as difficult as it seems. However, it is very important to write attractive content and optimize it. it is also important to direct the press release to an appropriate landing page.

Here are some websites that can be helpful:

www.prweb.com
www.prfee.com
www.prnewswire.com

Once you write a press release, many news sites will pick it up. People will read the news articles and if they find them interesting, they will visit your site. Webmasters and bloggers may write reviews on your site and this way you will get more backlinks and visitors. Writing a proper press release will see a sudden surge in the traffic to your website.

K-Meleon: A serious browser alternative

Internet October 20th, 2007

I downloaded and installed K-Meleon today. I am impressed and so this post. Earlier I used Mozilla Firefox (I still do.), but lately it has started leaking memory very badly. I read somewhere that this is in fact a feature and not a bug! Strange indeed!

So I began searching for some browsers. And my search ended at http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/

Here are some features of K-Meleon:

  • extremely fast, customizable, lightweight
  • low hardware requirements
  • uses the Gecko rendering engine developed by Mozilla
  • supports tabbed browsing

Try it and you won’t be disappointed.
