Forums: Source of good backlinks

Do you know that forums can be a good source of backlinks to your website or blog ? They can also be a source of good amount of targeted traffic. So how do you proceed ?
First, search for related forums. Register an account there and make about 10 or more posts. Add your site to your signature. The more number of posts you make, the more number of backlinks you get. Create accounts in multiple forums. However, see that these forums are related to your website’s theme.
Here are something you should stay away from doing:
- Blatant spamming: Don’t post links to your websites and beg users to visit your site.
- Multiple accounts: Don’t create multiple accounts at forums. Most forums don’t allow this and they will ban accounts or IP addresses if they find out.
Participate actively in forums and try to gain other’s respect. It will add to your credibility. That way you will get more visitors and more sales.
