Do you want people to visit your web site or blog again and again ? If yes, then try creating your own screensavers (with your site’s url in it) and make them available for free download. Your visitors will download your screensavers, install them and when they see your site’s url in big bold text, they will visit your site again and again.
This is how you proceed:

Download some good pictures from royalty free image sites like www.sxc.hu

Download a free screensaver software from www.download.com. Most of these software come with a trial period. You can make use of the trial period or buy it if you think that it is worth buying.

Add your url to the pictures. Also create an image with your site’s url displayed in bold. You may also consider adding other image effects like fading, twisting and turning etc.

Create your screensavers and make them available as free downloads. You may also consider tracking the downloads so that you can know how many times people have downloaded your screensavers.

Wait and see an increase in the number of return visitors.
