Shit Happens! Too Often!
Sorry for the profanity. But shit happens! Sometimes too often.
On 10th of this month I got paid by Linkworth. The amount while being not much (about $45), I tried to have it tranfered from my PayPal account to my ICICI bank account. In the morning, I tried to access the bank account through the online banking facility. My first attempt said that the username/password combination was wrong. [In fact, I had changed the password somedays back and I don't remember it now :: SAD ::]. I tried to login a couple of times more and BAM, my userID got locked!
I tried to reset the password. They don’t send passwords to email IDs, so that was out of question. I called the bank’s helpline number and asked them. They instructed me to a online form somewhere to send in my details, so that they could verify them and send a new password. I tried doing it, but couldn’t get a confirmation page. I waited for some response. 1 hour…no response, no sms [They send details of every transaction through SMS].
Then, I called again and asked them to reset the password. This time, he asked me for my details and I gave them. Sometime later he said that the verification was successful and so they would send a new password within 8 working days. 8 working days ? Holy cow! I won’t be able to access my account for 8 days then ? Yes.
So to conclude…Shit happens! Sometimes too often. You can always stop it from happening…
