Where does Yahoo! work better than Google?

People often criticize Yahoo! saying that its search results are crap! At the same time, they claim that Google is foolproof and its search results are the best.

However, this is not always true. Search results in Yahoo! are at times much better than those of Google. For Google haters, this means that one can still surf the Internet without Google’s help.

I will prove my point. The other day, I was researching on “Abacus” so that I could gather more information of www.abacushome.info.

Here are the top 10 search results in Google:

Of these 10 results, only 4 are relevant. The other results are not related. If somebody were to be looking for abacus watches, he or she would be using the search term “abacus watches” and not just abacus. Similarly for the other 6 irrelevant sites.

The top 10 results in Yahoo! are:

6 of the results are relevant. 2 more than Google! This proves that Yahoo! is not all that crap

i’m not a google fan at all. i use their search engine after yahoo. Yahoo is just better to me and offers so much more. I don’t get Google, only wish I had bought their stock was it was 85 bucks, now it’s over 700 a share. nice looking blog!

This can be right, but it’s right only for a few search terms.

Google may be ahead of yahoo in the millions of other search terms.
